Andrew Stewart, 2nd Lord Ochiltree was the son of Andrew Stewart, 1st Lord Ochiltree and Margaret Hamilton. He was born about 1521.^[1]

He succeeded his father as 2nd Lord Stewart of Ochiltree in 1549.^[2]

Andrew Stewart died after 3 June 1596.^[3]

He married firstly, Agnes Cuninghame, daughter of Sir John Cuninghame, 4th of Caprington, before 27 October 1549^[1] and second the Lady Margaret Cuninghame, daughter of Alexander Cuninghame, 5th Earl of Glencairn and Lady Janet Hamilton, between August 1570 and February 1572/73.^[4] They had nine children:^[1]

After her death, he married secondly, Margaret, daughter of Alexander Cunningham, Earl of Glencairn.^[5]

He also had two natural children:
