Funeral services for Mrs. Jim Harris, who died late Monday in Cookeville Hospital of injuries received Saturday afternoon when she apparently ran against the side of a car driven by James Clouse of Dry Valley, were held yesterday afternoon at the Stevens Street Baptist Church. The Rev. J. H. Roberson and the Rev. John Brown officiated and burial was in Judd Cemetery. According to investigating officers, Mrs. Harris apparently dashed across U. S. Highway 70 near the Cookeville Planing Mill without looking toward the car. She suffered head and internal injuries. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Harris is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Thelma Nevins, Akron, OH, four sons, Edward and Bobby Harris both of Cookeville, and Agward and James Harris, both of Akron; her father, Rev. J. W. Stone, Bloomington, three sisters, Mrs. Anna Presley, Monterey, Mrs. Viola Gentry, Cookeville, and Mrs. Emma Gentry, Baxter, and six brothers, Estel Lavender Stone, Baxter, Thomas Lafayfette "Fate Stone, Nashville, Whitley Carnell Stone and Ridley Stone, both of Detroit, MI, and Ritchie and A. P. Stone, both of Akron.
