Biography

Elisha is named in his father, Jacob Strickland's will.[1]

Both marriages that are shown are represented by certain records on Ancestry. The marriage to Priscilla Taylor Young is also shown as a spouse on FamilySearch. It should be noted that an unspecified group paid for a genealogist's report on Elisha, and that person indicated that the identity of his spouse is unknown. However, the copy of the report is undated, so it is possible that given the "matching" records on Ancestry, that technology of late enabled more precision in identifying one or both spouses.

Strickland-358 and Strickland-1176 appear to represent the same person because: the history of this line becomes apparent when comparing these two as duplicates: differences in estimated or otherwise unsupported or undocumented vital dates need resolution, but the basics on these profiles otherwise show this is the same person. Please let me know if you have any questions. I am continuing to clear up some questions on FamilySearch, but the merge can proceed and additional sourcing can be added on the back end. Thanks.
