June 10, 1774, Anthony Strout and wife, Abigail, conveyed, for £25, to Deborah Fairbanks, of Cape Elizabeth, widow, Joshua Eldridge, of Falmouth, mariner, Daniel Strout, of Cape Elizabeth, yeoman, " Palatiah " Fernald of Falmouth, blockmaker, Jacob Waterhouse, of Falmouth, boatbuilder, and Samuel Freeman, of Falmouth, merchant, "all right title & interest in the Tract of Land bordering upon Piscataqua River which our Grandfather Francis Small of Truro aforesaid Dece. conveyed to our Father Daniel Small aforesaid as by his Deed Dated" October 31, I712.* This transfer of their interests at Ossipee was recorded June 14, 1774.

In the History of Cape Cod, Vol. II,[1] in the chapter on the Annals of Provincetown, Freeman lists Anthony as having been born 6 Mar 1705-06. However, no town is explicitly mentioned as the place of birth. It is not clear if this is because Provincetown is implied, town of birth was unknown, or he simply neglected to state the town.
