No record has been found of the birth of Sarah "Sally" Strout. The 1850 Census shows her as 58 years old, born in Maine.[1] Her age at her death from her gravestone computes to a birth date of about July 1792.[2] The death records of her sons Nathan Hanscom and Sullivan Hanscom both say that their mother was born at Raymond, Maine (then in Massachusetts),[3][4] but Raymond was not incorporated until 1803. An unsourced website says she was born in July 1792 at Limington, Maine (then in Massachusetts), the daughter of Prince Strout and Christiana (Dyer) Strout[5] She was the fifth listed among six children of Prince and Christian Strout who were baptized at Limington on 9 Nov 1796.[6]
Marriage
Sarah Strout married Nathan Hansom. The death records of Nathan Hanscom, and Sullivan Hanscom, and George W. Hanscom all name their parents as Nathan Hanscom and Sarah Strout.[3][4][7]
