Your comment is correct, no source found for Mary as a middle name. It appears that Rachel Mary is in wide use, but in error.

It seem that Rachel, born about 1757 has been confused with Rachel Mary Strout born 1765, dau. of Joseph Strout and SUSANNA ROBERTS?

I have to say, that I did not find a primary source to prove her as Rachel, so that need work also.

Where do you find "Mary" as a middle name for Rachel Strout, who married Wm Ray as his second wife?
