Joseph Strout Junior was born January 17, 1718 in Truro, Massachusetts; ^[1] died after 1766. ^[1]

He married (1) Hanna Cobb on May 7, 1739,^[2] and (2) Sarah Mayo on April 20, 1753.^[3]

In The Mayflower Descendant, it is stated "Joseph Strout was called 'Junior' when he published his intentions to marry Hannah Cobb in Falmouth on 7 May 1739. Just two months earlier, Joseph's father, also named Joseph Strout, had published his intentions to marry his second wife ... ." His date of death is unknown.
