Service: U.S. Revolutionary War, Virginia. Giles Taylor: a merchant and revolutionary veteran who was commissioned under General Nathanael Greene's command during the Revolutionary War. He served in the Virginia Continental Line with the 9th Virginia Regiment.

Death

Giles Taylor was buried at Hickory Hill Cemetery in Equality, Illinois. A large monument is there to Giles and Sina (Stokes) Taylor by their son Edmund "Dick" Taylor. Giles Taylor was in the Revolutionary War from Virginia.[11]

all source for the parents indicate that there was never a son named Giles

Taylor-27683 and Taylor-12246 appear to represent the same person because: Same spouse and children. Marriage is very close. Birth is off a bit but it was estimated.
