Biography

Matthew Modglin Taylor was born about 25 Jan 1802, in Williamson County, Tennessee. [1]

As a young man, he moved west to Illinois, where he married in Waterloo, Monroe, IL on 1 Oct 1822.

He was in Jefferson County, Illinois in 1840.[2]

By 1850, he was living in Hunt County, Texas [3][4]

He died 1 Aug 1880 in Gillespie County, Texas. [5]
