Biography of Martha Taylor

Martha Taylor was born 27 Jan 1701/02 in King and Queen County, Virginia; before her parents settled in the area of Virginia that would become Orange County. Martha was the daughter of James Taylor II and Martha Thompson.

Martha married Col. Thomas Chew about of sometime before 1724. No marriage record has been located.

Martha and her husband Thomas Chew sold land they owned in Spotsylvania County, Virginia on the 19th of December, 1746. The first parcel of 307 acres was sold to John Penn for twenty pounds. The second parcel of 307 acres was sold to George Penn for twenty pounds.[1]

Martha died the 17th of November 1782, in Orange county, Virginia. [2]
