This indenture is made and entered into this 22nd day of March in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty Three between James Thompson, Jr. of the county of Nelson and the state of Virginia of the first part, Washington Campbell of the same county and state of the second part and William B. Thompson of the same county and state of the third part. Witnessed that where as the said James Thompson Jr. is justly indebted to the said William B. Thompson in the sum of Three Hundred dollars, Current money of Virginia and being desirous of securing the payment of the same to him the said William B. Thompson, he the said James Thompson, Jr. hath this day bargained sold and delivered and by those present bargained, sold and deliver to the Washington Campbell sell all the rights, titles and interest which he, the said James Thompson Jr. has or may have to the estate his mother Elizabeth Thompson made over to him by her husband James S. Thompson.....
