I am quite sure the construction that an Edward Ticehurst was born to William Ticehurst and wife Ann [Barham] in Brede (there is no such place as "Breda" Sussex) in 1802 is incorrect.
The Brede parish register shows, that couple did indeed have a son in 1802, but his name was Samuel.
And this is not just "off by a year or so": same register shows other children in the years before and after, but NO Edward.
Sorry, but I regard this supposed link of an Edward as the son of William Ticehurst & Ann [Barham] as being provably mistaken.
Sorry, I don't know who Edward's real parents were. But there is a likely match in the 1851 and 1861 census giving his place of birth as Jevington. Also in 1841 with children John, Rebecca, Fanny ("yes" born in same county).
