Aaron Tilghman, son of Gideon and Esther (Holland) Tilghman was born about 1706 in Somerset Countym Maryland, and died in 1764.
He married first Mary Margaret Gibbons and second, Hannah Broughton (Sep 1750) and third Catherine Hull.
Aaron and Mary had several children, Elijah, Aaron, and Elisha. With Hannah was born Samuel, Sarah, Hannah, and John.
In 1723 Aaron lived in the township of Manokin Hundred, Somerset County, MD.
Aaron Tilghman held the rank of corporal with the Somerset county military on 24 Mar 1747. again in 1748, and he fought with Captain John Waters during the French and Indian War in 1749-50
