Biography

John Henry Triplett was born on 24 Sep 1871 in Ross Creek, South Australia, Australia.[1] His parents were William Triplett (1843 - 1916) and Emily Jane (Miller) Gulvin (1848 - 1922).

His siblings were:

John married Ruth Agnes Skipworth (1873 - 1968) on 20 Oct 1894 in Broken Hill, New South Wales.[2] Their children were:

  1. Dorothy Stella Triplett (1895 - 1895)
  2. George Henry Triplett (1896 - 1991)
  3. William Firth Triplett (1899 - 1973)
  4. Lily Violet (Triplett) Gilbert (1901 - 1981)
  5. Emily Agnes (Triplett) Burnett (1902 - 1934)
  6. Myrtle Olive (Triplett) Hansen (1905 - 1999)
  7. Alice Maude Triplett (1907 - 1908)
  8. John Miller Triplett (1909 - 1987)
  9. Robert Triplett (1911 - 1971).

In 1928, a divorce was granted to Ruth on the grounds of adultery after she reported that John had abandoned her and his 11 children to live with a Mrs. Coleman. [3]

John went on to marry Mrs. Coleman, born Amy Lydia Mason (1879 - 1956) in 1929 in Fremantle, Western Australia. [4]

John died on 21 Sep 1936 [5] in Fremantle aged 64.
