Peggy Troxell is believed to be one of the children of Jacob Troxell based on her age, location, and Tarleton Blevins presence on her marriage bond. He was the husband of her sister Polly.
Peggy Troxell married James Bell in Madison County, Kentucky shortly after 5 July 1809 when a bond was posted to support the marriage:[1]
"Know all men by these presents that we James Bell & Tarlton Blevens are held and firmly bound unto his Excellency Charles Scott Esquire Governor of Kentucky in the sum of L50 current money the payment whereof well and truly to be made we bind ourselves our heirs jointy & severally firmly by these presents sealed and dated this 5th day of July 1809. The Condition of the above obligation is such that whereas a marriage is shortly intended to be had & Solemnised between the above bond James Bell & Petty Troxall. If therefore there be no lawful cause to obstruct the same then this obligation to be void Else to remain in full force. Signed Sealed att M. .... [illegible] James Bell, Tarlton Blevins. Endorsement on Bond: Consent of Lady -- parent prove by the oath of Tarlton Blevins. M. T.. [same name as (illegible) above]"
Peggy and James are identified as parents on the death record of a daughter named Patsy.[2] Patsy is in the 1850 census with her parents[3] James and Peggy's births are estimated from this census.

Marriage date for James Bell 13995 is actually the date that the marriage bond was issued. I am looking for my marriage returns to confirm the date of marriage.
I have now added sources, and am waiting on a response from the profile manager of -9099....as that person IS NOT the husband of Peggy, and his name is Henry, not James.
My ancestor William Blevins' first wife was named Sarah Troxel and his second and last wife was named Avey Collins therefore I've removed my ancestor William as the husband of Margaret Troxel.
