John was born on March 1, 1702/3 in Wethersfield to David Tryon and Hannah Waddams.[1] A baptism record exists for John Tryon, son of David, on March 7, 1702/3, in Wethersfield, Connecticut.[2] He is almost certainly the John Tryon who died October 2, 1790 in Litchfield, Connecticut. The report in the newspaper says: "Late of Hartford", indicating his origins.[3]
