Biography

Elizabeth (Tuttle) Reed was born on 21 Nov 1666 in New Haven, Connecticut Colony, daughter of John Tuttle (<1631 - 1683) and Katharine (Lane) Tuttle (~1632 - 1669). She was baptized 19 Nov 1666 [sic] at the First Church of New Haven.

Her siblings were:

  4. Samuel Tuttle (1659 - 1733)

  8. David Tuttle (1668 - 1751)

Elizabeth married John Reede (1667 - <1724) on 28 Mar 1687 in New Haven.[1] Their children were:

  1. John Read (1689 - ~1775)
  2. Eleazer Read (1695 - 1722)
  3. Daniel Reed (1697 - 1775)
  4. Experience (Reed) St. John (1699 - ~1756)
  5. Samuel Reed (1702 - 1760)
  6. William Reed (1708 - 1793)
  7. William Reid (1723 - ).

Elizabeth died about 1724 in Norwalk, Fairfield aged ~57.
