David, son of William and Elizabeth Tuttle was baptized 7 Apr 1639 in Charlestown, Massachusetts.[1]
In 1659, he was complained of in New Haven for not carrying arms. He settled in Wallingford, Connecticut, and had lot No. 16 on Main Street.[2]
In 1684, his indenture was presented in court and approved.[3] In 1687, he requested that the court appoint his brother Thomas to take care of his estate, because he felt he was incompetent to do so himself. Thomas agreed and the court appointed him. In 1692, Thomas showed the account of his brother's estate to the court, and on 14 June 1693, David again appeared, and asked that he be allowed to give his estate of £29.7s. to his brother, Thomas, in recompense for his taking care of it and him 6 years before. Thomas would also provide for David in the future. This was granted by the court.[4]
Died in 1692, without issue.[1]
The inventory of David Tuttle of New Haven "who was non compos mentis" (not sane) was taken on 9 November 1692.[5] His widow was Hannah.
