Biography

Mary Anne was the daughter of Derrick Updegraff and Susanna Streckert.

After Mary Ann Updegraff married Samuel Morrison, they moved to Somerset county, Pennsylvania. One source gives Mary's name as Mary Magdalen Updegraff.

Some sources say that Mary and Samuel were married in Lycoming County, and other say they were married in York County. York County is more likely, since they were married on March 5, 1789, and Mary's family did not move to Lycoming County until April 1789.
