From Benjamin Duckworth: His Descendants and Related Families
One can only assume how hard it ws on Phebe Ann Wade Duckworth, after the war was over, to try to make a living for her children. She and the children went to live near her people. They also lived with a Suggs family....... (one of her sons) William Carr Duckworth said that he worked very hard, and also left home when he was old enough.....Phebe Ann married again to Burl Bice, but they did not live together long. Phebe Ann lived with her son, James C. Duckworth and his wife, Melissa Wade Duckworth. Phebe Ann died in 1914 or 1915 and is buried in Old Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. H. H. Daniel in his book, History of Jones County, Miss. Church and Cemetery 1830-1915, gives the location as: Section 15, township 8, Range 12, Southwest of Laurel. One relative thinks she was buried in Big Creek Cemetery.
Phebe Ann fell and broke her hip and gradually went down. James [her son] was moving from Ellisville, or the Big Creek Community of Jones County, Miss., to Hattiesburg, so Phebe Ann stayed with her daughter Mary, until they were settled. She died there, at Mary's home somewhere between Ellisville and Hattiesburg.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Phoebe by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Phoebe:
I did some formatting with the biography to make it more consistent with her siblings. I also have different information for her spouse. The Wade book lists Norvelle Robert Duckworth as her spouse in 1856.
Wade-5280 and Wade-2115 appear to represent the same person because: These are also the same individual. I believe mine has the correct birthplace of Jones, MS based on sources in the Isaac Wade book.
