Notes

Confirmation of a second marriage to Amsand Elizabeth Brown in 1892 is pending further evidence. There supposedly exists marriage licenses for Miranda and Amsand in Jasper County Bks. 5-111 and 2-251, respectively.[1] However, the 1870 census record for A C Wade lists his spouse's name as Amsand. It is possible that his wife's full name was Miranda Amsand Elizabeth Copeland. This is supported by an entry for M A E Wade in the 1900 census. There is no way to know until I can look at these marriage records.
