Mary Frances Walters, married William Henry Haymes in Caswell Co.,

N.C. He was the son of William Henry & Henrietta Maria Haymes of

Halifax Co., Va. On June 25, 1838 Archer & Catharine Walters

deeded 230 acres in Pittsylvania Co., Va., to Wm. H. Haymes &

Nathaniel Thomas. Mr. & Mrs. Haymes, with his sister Ann R.

Russell and her husband, moved to Henry Co., Tenn. William died

1862 on Island 10 in the Mississippi River. He had joined the

C.S.A. in place of his son-in-law, Stephen Palmer Routon. Mary

Haymes died prior to his death.

Henry County, Tennessee, 7 Nov 1849. William H. Haynes and wife, Mary F., of Henry County, Tennessee, appoint Azariah G. Walters of Pittsylvania County, Virginia, our attorney to receive money due of the Clerk and Master of Court of Equity for Caswell County, North Carolina, which is our share of the sale of real estate of Archibald Walters, deceased, of Caswell County, North Carolina. They signed their names.
