Agnes Ward was born in 1817 and died in Johnson County Arkansas. She married first a Tucker, who died. She filed for guardian for her infant child Jane, and heir of David Ward, Jr. Augustus Ward was appointed. She then married James Fulton in Arkansas in 1848. She had a daughter, Artemise Fulton, who married a James Harrington. Artemise and James Harrington had a daughter, Sarah, who married her cousin, Redmond Roger Williams who is buried in the Fulton Cemetery.
This profile seems to be a conflation of David Ward Jr.'s 2nd wife with daughter, Virginia's information. It seem to be coming from a misinterpretation of probate records that has been shared in forums and then copied as seen on David's profile. A transcript of the actual records would help to clarify. But Agnes Ward was his widow and Jane was his daughter with her, not granddaughter. Notes on Agnes Shropshire Ward's profile are helpful.
Consider:
This Agnes Ward and Agnes Shropshire Ward may be same person, allowing that some wrong info is getting mixed in. The Agnes Ward in the probate record is Agnes Shropshire.
The death date here is the same as Virginia's who died with the birth of her son. Virginia was md. to James Fulton.
Not sure where Artemisia Fulton goes. She is in the same age group as David's older children and 2nd wife. David had two daughters that married men named Fulton, but they are in the same age group as Artemisia so not candidates for her mother. Artemisia is likely not a Fulton. FS says Kennedy but provides no source. It is not possible for her to belong here.
Where does the Tucker marriage info come from?
Suggest:
Remove Artemisia, changing maiden name to unknown with unknown parents/Removed Artimesia, 9 Jun 2021.
Make appropriate edits and merge this profile to Virginia
Merge the two James Fulton's
Create new unknown Ward b. 1817 for daughter of David and Eleanor or just mention there is an unknown on their profiles
Remove the non-existent Jane Fulton and merge to Jane Ward
Tucker remains a mystery that may or may not belong to this family
?? "United States Census, 1830," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XHPX-63D : 20 February 2021), George Tucker, Washington, Arkansas Territory, United States; citing 191, NARA microfilm publication M19, (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.), roll 5; FHL microfilm 2,473. 1 m 20-30, 1 f 15-20, 1 f <5?? Fits with the expected ages, if there was a previous marriage to a Tucker. Did not find them in searches for later years.
