William Sr was born 18 Jun 1704. He is the son of James Ward and Sarah Rogers. William Sr immigrated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1735. William Sr married Jane (SWAIN) in 1737. They were the parents of five children. He passed away in 1763.

What is the source for this information? I cannot find this patent on the Virginia Archive Land Patent website. There are patents for 1683, 1711 and then jumps to 1781 all for a William Ward. http://bit.ly/1dI7Vp2
