DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Joseph by comparing test results with other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Joseph:
Joseph Ward, born Abt. 1774 in Augusta, Virginia; died Unknown.
Notes for Joseph Ward:
Joseph and his wife, Keziah Greenup, sold their property to John Ward and left Tazewell in 1805. Keziah's father went to Kentucky in 1801. His will, which was probated in 1826, left bequests to Joseph and Keziah's daughters, but researcher (Judy Anderson) has not been able to trace them further.
