Jane was married 25 August 1799 in Bath County, Virginia to William Gatewood.[1][2] Note, she was his second wife.

Jane Gatewood died in Shelby County, Tennessee, sometime after she signed her Last Will, dated 26 July 1839 and before 4 November 1839, when her Will was proven at Shelby County, Tennessee Court.[3]
Jane Gatewood's Last Will was signed 26 Jul 1839 in Shelby County, Tennessee in the presence of witnesses, John R. Parker, Cesario Bias and J.L. Kennedy. Jane's Will was proven 4 Nov 1839 at court in Shelby County, Tennessee and in Bath County, Virginia in January 1840.[3]
