Biography

Alexander Harris Wass was born ca 1802 in Addison, Washington, Maine. He was the son of James Wass and Ann Dyer.

He married Eunice Miller (1816-1866) ca 1824 in Maine. The couple had 5 children.

  1. Alexander Harris Wass II (1825-1867)
  2. Andrew Dyer Wass (1827-1900)
  3. Ruben F Wass (1833-1862)
  4. Nathan Foster Wass (1852-1853)
  5. Ansel Freeman Wass (1853-1857)

Alexander was a Sea Captain in Water transportain retiring by age 68.

His wife Eunice Miller passed away on December 30, 1865, in Addison, Maine, at the age of 49. They had been married 41 years.

He married Mary Stevens (1802-1870) on October 28, 1866 in Addison, Washington Maine.

He died at the age of ca 76, on November 10, 1878 in Addson, Washington, Maine.
