Biography

Sir Richard Waterton was born at Walton & Cawthorne, Yorkshire, England.[1]

He married Constance Assenhull, daughter of Sir William Assenhull, Sheriff of Cambridgeshire & Huntingdonshire and Joan de Burgh.[2][3]

Hello, Richard Waterton had another son, Robert Waterton who married Elizabeth Savile. their son John Waterton (1425-1494) married Agnes (Fairfax) Waterton (abt.1460-)

Me too. Contrary to what I said before, I now think Katherine de Burgh is a fiction, made up by a pedigree-monger to explain the descent of Burgh property to the Watertons. But the true descent was through Constance's mother Joan.

I think you will find that Richard Waterton, whose birthplace by the way is unknown, was most likely the son of the courtier and politician John Waterton (died 1417), for whom see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Waterton. The false link to other parents should therefore be deleted.
