Biography

HENRY WATSON and SARAH (Surname Unknown), who resided in NELSON COUNTY, KENTUCKY between 1770/80 and 1810/15. Moved to HARRISON COUNTY, INDIANA between 1810 and 1815. Henry died Harrison County, Indiana about 1816.

Census records place Henry in Virginia (1761) and Nelson County Kentucky (1800). The History of the George W. Cannady family placed Henry in Harrison County, Indiana at his death (1816).

DAR: Ancestor #: A122483 record showed Henry served as a private under "CAPT JOHN SWAN; and COLS WILLIAM LINN & GEORGE ROGERS CLARK; MILITIA" July to August of 1780. (See uploaded PDF). After service he made a "Tomahawk claim" for 400 acres in Nelson County, Kentucky. He sold this claim in 1810 in preparation for moving to Harrison County, Indiana.
