Biography
Rev. William Blewford West was born in 1752 in Louisa County, Virginia (Louisa County was formed in 1742 from Hanover County), the son of Robert West (1720-1770) and Susannah Isabella Fike (1737-1770).
William married Angeline Clendennen (1752–1842) about 1770 in Chatham County, North Carolina. Their children included:
- James West (1772–1844)
- Mary Anne "Polly" (West) Peek Bailey (1776–before 1880), married James. H. Peek then James Levi Bailey
- Isabelle (West) Holcolm (1778– )
- James West (1780–1810)
- Elsa A. (West) Milliken (1782–1857)

In the 1840 US Census, William West was a veteran, age 87 in Simpson County, Kentucky.
