John Wetherbee was born 26 March 1675 in Marlborough, Middlesex County, Massachusettts.[1] He was the son of John Wetherbee and Mary Howe.
John was named in the Last Will and Testament of his father John Witherby on 13 October 1707.[2]
He married Katherine Whitcomb, daughter of Jonathan and Hannah Whitcomb, on 2 June 1698 in Lancaster, Worcester, Massachusetts.[3] They had the following children:[4]
John "Witherbey" of Stow left a will dated 6 June 1720, proved 25 Sep 1720 at Worcester. In it he named wife Catherine; sons Daniel, Josiah, Isaac, Micah, John, Hezekiah, and Thomas; daughter Catherine. The sole executor was eldest son, Daniel.[5]

Anna Wetherbee was previously attached as a child of John and Katherine but she was not named in John's will and no birth record was found.
