Biography

Hannah Wheeler was born 19 Nov 1719 in Stratford, Fairfield, CT. Her father was Robert Wheeler[1][2][3]

She married John Hubbell.[4] John was born Feb 20 1709/10, d at Huntington May 7 1782, age 73. [2] [3]

Hannah and John had the following children: [3]

In 1766, her husband appeared before the court and petitioned the probate court to order and approve her father, Robert Wheeler's estate distribution.[5]

She died 2 Nov 1797, age 78, [1] [2] [6] and was buried in Lower White Hills Cemetery, Shelton, Fairfield, CT.[7][1]

Her will is dated 6 April 1791 and proved on 13 November 1797 in Stratford. She mentions the children of her daughter Sarah Thompson, wife of Abel Thompson (Hannah, Eunice, Elizabeth Ann, Sarah, and Annah), her daughters Hannah Patterson, wife of Samuel Patterson, Abigail Hull, wife of Abel Hull of Derby, and Ann Bostwick, wife of Zachariah Bostwick of New Milford, and her sons Elisha Hubbell, Timothy Hubbell, Gideon Hubbell, Richard Hubbell, and John Hubbell. Her inventory was completed on 22 December 1797.[8]

The real estate distribution was set out to Elisha Hubbell, Timothy Hubbell, Gideon Hubbell, Richard Hubbell, and John Hubbell. The personal estate was set out to Hannah, Eunice Elizabeth Ann, Sarah, and Annah (the five daughters of Abel Thompson), Hannah Patterson, wife of Samuel Patterson, Abigail, wife of Abel Hull of Oxford, and Ann, wife of Zachariah Bostwick of New Milford.[9]
