Jesse Wheeler was born around 1750 and was the son of James Wheeler and Abigail Brown. Jesse is believed to have married Jane Cole about 1772 in New Paltz, Ulster, NY. Jesse Wheeler Sr. died around 1820 in Kentucky. Jesse had the following children:
