Malitiah / Malatiah "Whit" was born 14 Feb 1675/6, to Samuel Whit [sic] Sr. and wife, Rebecca, in Sandwich, Plymouth Colony, where his parents lived until about 1678/9, but his birth was recorded in Rochester, Plymouth Colony.[1][2]

Malatiah married about 1698 (child born in 1699) Mercy Winslow. Mercy was born in Yarmouth about 1676, daughter of Kenelm and Mercy (Worden) Winslow. She married (2) Thomas Jenkins of Barnstable. She died before 16 July 1755 in Rochester, when an administrator was appointed for her estate.[1]

17 July 1697 Samuel White Senr of Rochester deeded 20 acres of upland in Rochester to his son Melatiah, also of Rochester. On 26 Oct 1700, Melatiah White, deeded this land to his honored father, ie. his father-in-law, Kenelm Winslow.[3]

He died in Rochester, 21 Aug 1709 in his 39th year [sic]. on which date Mercy was appointed administrator of the estate of Malatiah White, late of Rochester.[1][4]

His inventory was taken on 19 September 1709.[5]

Mercy's accounting of the estate, 18 Dec 1712 names their children: eldest son Meletiah White, eldest Daughter Judah, 2nd daughter Mercy and third daughter Margaret.[6] 22 Dec 1715 Marcy, late widow of Meletiah White, now wife of Thomas Jenkins of Barnstable, made another accounting, mentions her four children by Meletiah, stating the eldest was not yet ten when their father died.[1][7][8]
