She was the first recorded school dame of Marshfield.

Probate

The will of Hannah White of Marshfield, spinster was dated 14 July 1775 and proved on 6 May 1776 in Plymouth. She mentions her brother, Abijah White, Esqr. (executor), her sister-in-law, Anna White, wife of Abijah White, her sister, Sarah Phillips, Silvanus White, Abijah White Jr., William White, Sybeline White, Anna White, Priscilla White, Sarah White, Susanna White (daughters of her brother, Abijah White), and Christiana, wife of William Lewis. Her inventory was taken on 25 May 1776 in Marshfield.[1]
