Biography

Elizabeth "Bettie Junie" was born 28 October 1868 in Lenoir County, North Carolina. She was the daughter of Nathan Bryan Whitfield and Elizabeth G. "Bettie" Cobb.[1]

She lived in Lenoir County, North Carolina her entire life. She never married.

Elizabeth "Junie" Whitfield, age 84, died 6 March 1953 in Kinston, Lenoir, North Carolina and is buried at Holy Innocents Episcopal Church Cemetery in Kinston.[2][3]

Whitfield-3745 and Whitfield-323 appear to represent the same person because: In Emma's book, she is listed as Elizabeth Whitfield. It also says She was often called Junie. Her findagrave page/headstone list her as Bettie Junie. Elizabeth/Bettie/Junie submitted the info. for the book. I think they are the same person. Make her record Elizabeth Bettie Junie - what do you think?

Yes, they are the same, I was surprised with the duplicate profile which you created.

Her given name was Elizabeth, but went by Bettie and Junie. The name inscribed on her tombstone is Bettie "Junie" Whitfield.
