Joseph was born in 1712.[1]

Joseph married Thankful Clapp. Joseph and Thankful had the following children:

  2. Rueben b 9 June 1738 m. Sarah Brigham
  3. Eunice b 15 Jan 1740/1 m. Lt Abijah Brigham
  4. Ann b 21 May 1744 m Jonathan Smith
  5. Hopestill b 9 Jan 1745/6 m. Olive Smith
  6. Abel bp 9 Sep 1750 probably died before 27 Dec 1768 (when father divided estate among his 3 sons, not naming Abel)

Willis-1372 and Willis-431 appear to represent the same person because: Note Thankful Clapp's marriage to Joseph Willis is confirmed in the Probate of her Father which refers to her as the wife of Joseph Willis.
