1820 Montgomery Co KY, p 267. Elijah Willoby, 111101/10302
Ensign in TN Militia
Since Elijah Jr was not yet married in 1830, this census is likely Elijah Sr: 1830 census, Monroe Co IN, with ages of children mistaken: 20001/11001; Benjamin Wilaby of Lawrence Co IN also had ages wrong to be Elijah's son. Who was Nancy Wilaby in 1830 Lawrence Co IN? 0/0001.
Possibly Montgomery Co KY in 1820. Proof of his parentage is sketchy. The connection with the Leachmans and the Wyatts was sent to Mom and Ramona years ago, but never proven beyond William Wyatt's estate proceedings. Locating our Willoughbys in all censuses could help clear this up, establishing relationships and relative ages. Elijah probably left VA, moving first to TN, then through KY to IN. His census record is sketchy. Shirley Spetman, Barnet & Spencer Genealogy & Allied Families
