Research Notes

Birth Date

There is a problem with the year Jesse was born. Based on the 1800 and 1810 census records for his father, William Womack, he was born after 1800. However the 1850 and 1860 census records give his birth year as 1798/99. Grave marker has 1803.

Marriage

No marriage record has yet been found, however their oldest known son Asa M Womack was born about 1827 in Tennessee.

Death

His exact date of death is unknown; his wife Sabra is a widow on the 1870 census, effective date 1 June 1870.
