When Thomas Wood was born on January 30, 1703, in Middleborough, Massachusetts, his father, Abigail, was 45 and his mother, Abijah, was 39. [1][2] He married Hannah Alden in 1729 in Plymouth, Massachusetts. [3] They had eight children in 13 years. [4] He died on January 27, 1745, in his hometown at the age of 41, and was buried in Plymouth, Massachusetts. [5]
He died intestate and on 12 February 1744/45, Elnathan Wood was granted the administration of his estate.[6]
His inventory was taken on 14 February 1744/45 in Middleborough.[7]
In 1752, with Elnathan Wood since deceased, Thomas Wood of Middleborough was granted the administration of his estate.[8]
In 1759, the division of his estate was set out to his children, Thomas Wood (eldest son), Priscilla, Amariah, Zephemiah, Lemuel, Abigail, the heirs of Abner Wood, and the heirs of Hannah Wood.[9]
