Biography

Peter Woodbury Sr. was born on 28 Mar 1738 in Beverly, Essex, Province of Massachusetts Bay. He was the son of Josiah Woodbury and Hannah Perkins. [1]

Peter Woodbury married Elizabeth Dodge Rea, the widow of James Rea, on June 23, 1761 in Beverly, Massachusetts.[2]

According to the "Genealogical and family history of the state of New Hampshire....", Peter Woodbury moved to what became Amherst, New Hampshire in 1773. He served years as a selectman, and was a member of the first continental convention of New Hampshire. He moved to Antrim, New Hampshire about 1800 where his youngest son Mark was living. Peter and his wife Elizabeth had children Levi, Jesse, Peter, Betsey, Hannah, and Mark. [3]

Peter Woodbury passed away on 11 Oct 1817 in Antrim, Hillsborough, New Hampshire, USA.[4]
