Biography

Jesse Woodward was born on December 3, 1740. He was the fourth of eight known children born to Stephen Woodworth and Allethiah Smith in Norwich, Connecticut. [1]

On April 8, 1762, Jesse married Mabel Otis, also of Norwich. He was 21 and she was 16.

Jesse lived to be counted in the 1790 Federal Census. [2]
