He married Sarah Carpenter Richardson (1803 - 1848) than Clara (1804 - 1883).
He and Sarah had Alvin S (1831 - 1909) and Louisa Betsy Darling (1836 - 1901.)
He died 29 September 1880 in Waterbury, Washington, Vermont. He is buried in the Old Waterbury Center Cemetery.
