Biography

Bathsheba Young was born in 1742 in Eastham, Massachusetts (Barnstable). Her parents were Elkanah Young and Mercy Mayo.

She married Levi Higgins on February 19, 1767, in Barnstable, Massachusetts Bay Colony.[1]

Together they had 12 children:

  1. Nehemiah Higgins
  2. Elkanah Higgins
  3. Eunice Higgins, m. Moses Wasgatt
  4. Chloe Higgins. She never married and died 2 October 1825 in Eden, Maine.
  5. Mercy Higgins, m. John Cousins. She was his second wife.
  6. Hannah Higgins, m1 Amariah Leland, m2 Humphrey Stanwood
  7. Theophilus Higgins
  8. Richard Higgins
  9. Josiah Higgins
  10. Deborah Higgins
  11. Mary Higgins
  12. Levi Higgins

She died on May 23, 1799, in Eden, Maine.[2]
