Adele was possibly the daugther of Floris van Holland and Gertrude Billung (von Saxon). She is mentioned only one time in Historia Comitum Ghisnensium. The charter states:
The record contains no direct reference to the Counts of Holland, except the first name "Florentinus", which is not found in other contemporary sources. If Adela belonged to the family of the Counts of Holland, chronologically Count Floris I would be her father.
Adele married Baudouin I Comte de Guines, son of Eustache Comte de Guines and his wife Susanne de Grimmingen.
She passed away around 1085 and was burried at Chapitre de l'église d'Andres, Andres, Pas-de-Calais, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France
