Lizzie was born in 1853, in Lafayette, to George and Mary (Lufkin) Miller. She married Thomas Barklow in1871, in Keokuk, Iowa. They had seven children. She died in 1920, in Myrtle Point, at the age of 67. Her cause of death was listed as acute Bulbar Paralysis. She is buried in Norway, Oregon.
