About Franklin Roosevelt
Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Jr. was the fifth child of Franklin D. Roosevelt (the 32nd President of the United States) and his wife Eleanor. A graduate of Harvard and the University of Virginia Law School, Roosevelt was a Naval officer in World War II and was decorated for bravery in the battle of Casablanca. He served as a member of the United States Congress, representing the Twentieth District of New York from 1949 to 1955, and ran several times for governor of New York. In addition, Roosevelt was a senior partner at the law firm of Roosevelt and Freiden before and after his service in the Congress. He also ran a small cattle farm, and imported Fiat automobiles.
