About Joan Shakespeare
Joan Shakespeare was the first child of John and Mary Shakespeare, who had 18 children between the years 1558-1580. Unfortunately, Joan would die not soon after her birth with what is believed to be Bubonic Plague (undocumented). Another daughter would later be born to John and Mary, who they also named Joan.
