Biography

Lucy Abbott was born on July 18, 1785, in Wilbraham, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Joseph Abbott and Nancy. She married Elias Slayton about 1802, most likely in Whitestown, New York, and they had at least five children together. After Elias died, she then married Talcott Foster; they had one son together. She died on August 16, 1847, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, at the age of 64, and was buried in Superior, Michigan.
