This George Abbott born 1655 son of George and Hannah married Dorcas Graves and only Dorcas Graves. There is a George Abbott that married a Sarah Farnum but that was George 1627-1689 son of George Abbott of Rowley and Mary. I do not know of any Alice Farnum that married a George Abbott in this era.

These spouses were added by J Rogers - A direct message to him would be recommended. Without sourcing, these spouses should be removed.

Hello.

The numberings I/II/III (Sr. & Jr.) etc are highly problematic when there is a run of 5+ Georges in a row here.

Are we saying this man called himself George III? Or did we just place his grandfather later, into another run of previously-disconnected Georges with their own non-continuous numbering?

In this era, the Jr., 2nd, 3rd used after names most often refers to how the person was designated in the town records to distinguish one George from another (or one John from another). It might occur that a George III and George Jr. had no relation to each other. It is confusing and perhaps might be better to leave them off. There are complications in using these as when there are John, John Jr., John 3rd, John 4th in the town records and the first John dies, then John Jr. is now just John and John 4th is now referred to as John 3rd.

I agree it might be better to leave them off; or alternately to include a list of them all on each profile (with dates and spouse etc) and boldface each one as a UX/UI hint. That could also include a one sentence explanation, like you just kindly wrote for me.

Abbott-7300 and Abbot-134 appear to represent the same person because: Exact dates, same father and child
Georg, s, Georg sr. and Hanna, June y, 1655
